Musician Bobi Wine’s fans have been celebrating non-stop after finding out that the government named a road after the singer.

However, the celebrations were cut short when word came in that the singer and his publicist were only playing games with fans.

The message sent out to fans reads, “The government of Uganda has officially named Adjuman road after Bobi Wine. The road is now officially called BOBI ROAD.” The message quoted UNRA boss Allen saying that “We considered the many charitable things he has done for this area hence naming the road after him.”

According to the message from Bobi’s publicist, this made H.E Bobi Wine the only living Ugandan artiste to be honored by naming a road after him.

Turns out the road was not actually named after the singer but it was randomly named Bobi. The singer and his publicist only saw this as an opportunity to excite fans when they were going to Adjumani and landed on the road.

We will keep you posted.
